Melly Vs. Melvin is YNW Melly’s debut studio album, following his January 2019 project We All Shine. Melly announced the album’s imminent release in a phone call from jail, while being held for double-murder charges after the suspected killing of his best friends, YNW Sakchaser & YNW Juvy.

Melly announced the album’s release date on his social media accounts on November 18th, 2019. It was released on November 22, 2019.

The album included the 9LOKKNINE assisted “223’s,” as its only single.
